Q: What sports do you play?

A: I play basketball and run track.

Q: How does it feel to be on varsity basketball your freshman year?

A: It felt great to be on varsity basketball my freshman year! I was nervous at first because I didn’t know how the upperclassmen were going to act when they heard a freshman was on the team. However, when we got to know each other better, you couldn’t keep a smile off my face! Knowing that my coach thinks that I fit on a varsity spot is truly a good feeling.

Q: How does it feel knowing that you have three more years of playing varsity basketball?

A: I feel really confident with my three years left as a Bulldog! Our team is young and filled with talent. We can use that to accomplish bigger things this upcoming season!

Q: What is your basketball season schedule like?

A: My basketball season schedule isn’t truly complicated. You just have to use your time wisely and plan for future events.

Q: How do you make time for homework and other activities?

A: My practices usually get done around 4:30 or 5:00 so I have time to do my homework and study for tests. I also use the time my teachers give me in class to finish my homework. When I don’t have basketball, I try to get in the gym with my trainer and get a workout in.

Q: Do you ever wish you could be a fan and just watch basketball or do you think you’d miss playing it too much?

A: I’m a huge fan of basketball and love to watch it, but I would miss it too much if I had to just watch it!

Q: What was your favorite part of the season?

A: My favorite part of the season was winning sectionals and spending time with my teammates! It was my first time ever experiencing something like this and I’m really glad I could experience it with my teammates. I really love my team and how we bond so easily with each other! You wouldn’t believe the stories I was told.

Q: Do you have a favorite warm up song? If so what is it?

A: No I don’t. I try to focus on the game more.

Q: Do you have any pregame traditions or superstitions?

A: We all have the same pregame. We all pray and then we turn up to Sacdoo!

Q: What is one thing that you think makes you stand out from all the other players on the court?

A: The thing that makes me stick out from all the players is that I can help bring the ball up the court in critical moments and I try to put a smile on everyone’s face.
