Seniors Adam Prichard and Gunnar Reffeitt recently achieved the goal as the first boys’ doubles team at BHS to make it to the State Finals in tennis. They first played together in 7th grade and then again their freshman year, and continued through senior year.

“I used to play baseball. I’ve been playing baseball since I was about 5, and my mom wanted me to try and play tennis, and I told her I never would. However, in 7th grade she made me play in the summer and I ended up really liking it,” Prichard said.   “I’m not going to play in college or competitively, but I’m never going to stop playing.”

Reffieitt’s main sport is actually basketball, but he decided to pick up tennis to stay in shape during the off season.

“I quit football in 5th grade after I had a concussion, and then I started tennis,” Reffeitt said.  “When I played in high school, I played varsity, so I’d figure I’d just stick with it.”

They were a great team, and although it’ll be a tough goodbye, the memories will always be present.
