People who read books are often known as “book nerds” but they are just people who like to read the stories. When people read books, they get to connect with the made-up characters.
There are many genres when it comes to books. Some genres include romance, fantasy, historical fiction, non-fiction, thrillers and mystery. Each year, there are always many book release dates.

“Deep End” is about a girl named Scarlett Vandermeer who is a junior at Stanford, and she wants to get into med school while recovering from an injury that almost ended her career. There is a boy named Lukas Blomqvist who is a swim captain and a world champion. Neither of them have anything in common but there is a secret, and it gets out somehow. Since a secret had slipped out, they started an arrangement with each other. While the Olympics start to heat up, so does their relationship.
Another book is called “King of Envy.” This book is about Vuk Markovic and Ayana Kidane. Vuk is known to be dangerous and powerful and does not like to have human interactions. He is a billionaire, but he does not go outside of his circle until he meets her. Ayana is a beautiful model. She is engaged to one of the most eligible bachelors in New York but it’s not Vuk. Nobody knows that that the engagement is only a business arrangement. She’s supposed to be in love with the man she is marrying but she is infatuated with her fiancé’s best man. And that is Vuk.

“Katabasis” is about a girl named Alice Law who wants to become the best when it comes to Magick. She has made many sacrifices for it to come true. She wants to work with Professor Jacob Grimes but he dies in magical accident and is now in Hell. Alice wants to help him, so she tries to go after him. But her rival Peter Murdoch wants to do the same thing. The tales of Orphesus and Dante will guide them across Hell. Hell is not like books, but they are trying to save their professor.
“The Devils” is about a boy named Diaz who was summoned to the sacred city. He is only going there because there is an assignment for him to complete. But the new people that he will be going with are made up of murderers, monsters and many more. He has a bloody journey on his way, but he has many people that will help him on his way to victory.
By the end of 2025 there will be at least 240 new historical fiction books that will be released. A lot of teens these days will be reading fantasy and romance novels but there are always a few who want to know what has happened in the historical fiction world. The number one most anticipated read is “The Amalfi Curse”. A lady named Haven Ambrosegoes to a village called Positano because there had been many shipwrecks along the coast of the Amalfi. She wants to find artifacts in the water, but she comes across a gemstone that her father had on his final dive before he died. As time goes on, she wants to find her father’s treasure but also, she wants to break the Amalfi curse.
The definition of a thriller is a novel, play or a movie that has an exciting plot or involves a crime. The “Deep Lake” is about a serial killer that has been on loose in Canda for a couple of years. People have been vanishing and one day an indigenous woman vanishes out of clear sight. A police officer said no body, no crime. There is a saying that if a person goes down to the lake, they won’t go back up and their body won’t be found. Sara and Laura are personal trainers who get caught up with whatever is happening in the town.
The book “The Last Session” will be released on April 1, 2025. It is about a woman who went to a psychiatric unit. She has a social worker named Thea and she thinks she knows the woman from somewhere. The lady has a traumatic past and she can’t remember anything. But once she is figuring it out, information is torn away from her. Thea tries to follow the details that she knows about her, and it leads her to New Mexico. What is found there is bad for the patient. She is starting to lose time, and if she doesn’t uncover it, the woman might lose her mind forever.
There are many books that are being released in 2025. If you don’t know what to read, you should pick up a random book you might think you like. Being a “book nerd” is not bad.
