As of May 8, 2025, the album DYR (an acronym for Dream Your Reality), was the first album released under “DJ Billybool”, an alternate music identity of Thaiboy Digital (Thanapat Bunleang). As his name suggests, he’s a music persona from Thailand, but lived in Sweden along with Bladee, Ecco2k and Yung Lean. He has since moved back to Bangkok, Thailand. This was also a release under his self-owned record label “Bank of Star Sound System.” The album came as a surprise to fans since there has not been an album from either of his artist accounts since 2022. The album held a single released 24 days prior titled BLOMESTERTID or “flowering time”.
This album was fully written in Swedish, Bunleang’s second language, which makes it even more impressive. The album is exclusively techno-style music, including influences from genres like house, trance and ambient techno. The album is entirely in collaboration with artists like Eurohead, Varg²™, swedm®, jonatan leandoer96, Ecco2k and woesum.
Throughout the whole 10-track album, there are only two slower songs, so overall, the mood of the album is upbeat and something that sounds like it could be played at a show or a club. DYR is only a 31-minute album, providing a shorter listen than albums released under Thaiboy Digital. The instrumentals in this album are mostly melodic and powerful.
Overall, this album is enjoyable even to someone who is still relatively new to techno music, due to the melodies and features from Ecco2k and jonatan leandoer (alternate persona of Yung Lean), who provide softer vocals, opposed to Thaiboy’s louder, harsher, vocal style, which also is unique.
