“I think t’s definitely important to, spend time with them,” freshman Aubrey Pierce said. “It’s important to recognize that you’re with your partner and to spend time with them.”
Celebrating Valentine’s Day with your partner is a way to validate your relationship and to show how much you care for one another. Among this, there are many other benefits.
“It can definitely, strengthen your friendship with each other and let you get to know your partner better,” Pierce said
Although Valentine’s Day is directed for people in a relationship to celebrate, single people can celebrate as well, such as giving gifts to family members as well as other fun things!
“There’s Galentine’s, which is girl Valentine’s; we just hang with your friends,” freshman Tsehai Webb said, “which can still allow for all your single friends to gather and have fun.”
