As quarter one comes to a close, students at BHS are preparing and planning activities for their two-week-long fall break. Many fall activities students may participate in and around Brownsburg include Hogan Farms, Beasley’s Apple Orchard and the Indiana Fear Farm. Activities like these give students exciting fall traditions to look forward to during the few months of fall.
Though Beasley’s Orchard is known for the apples, this farm has more than just apples. Their farm includes a farmer’s market that sells a variety of fresh produce, homemade jams, apple cider and more. Beasley’s Orchard also allows anyone to pick their own flowers, raspberries, strawberries, pumpkins and, of course, apples depending on the season. From September 14 through October 31, they also have a corn maze, hayrides and apple cannons.
Going to Hogan Farms is a great way to spend a fall day too. Hogan Farms is known for their fall activities including a corn maze, hayrides and a kid’s zone. Pumpkin picking is also a fun activity to do with friends or family there. The pumpkins range from $2 to $20 depending on the size of the pumpkin. They are open every day except Monday starting on September 28 however, hayrides are only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
For people who enjoy being spooked, Fear Farms is a haunted farm that will send a shiver down the spine. Unlike Hogan Farms and Beasley’s Orchard, Indiana Fear Farms located in Jamestown is known for their haunted hayride. This hayride occurs every weekend in October leaving at dusk, to make it seem even more haunted and scary. Special days for hayrides, including a group discount night, can be found on the Fear Farm website.
Beasley’s Orchard, Hogan Farms and Fear Farms are just a few of the exciting fall events in and around Brownsburg that can create lasting memories and traditions during the long upcoming break.
