Eek is a brown bat at the Eagle Creek discovery center. “He was found with a wing injury and is unable to fly,” Heidi Shoemaker said. He is kept at the facility as an ambassador for wild bats. He helps teach the public about wild bats!” Shoemaker added. Shoemaker also shared that, “Bats in Indiana sometimes do ‘mini migration’ where they will move to southern Indiana caves where its warmer.” Unfortunately, because of the wavering Indiana weather, bats can be tricked by semi-warm weather and come out of hibernation when it’s not time yet.

I love to read, and I do karate. I have lots of favorite things, including my favorite colors being purple and red, my favorite movie being The Perks of Being a Wallflower and my favorite shows being Criminal Minds and Grey's Anatomy. I have two dogs, a yorkie and a pit bull, whose names are Mac and Bentley. I’m interested in newspaper because I want to meet new people and see certain things from different perspectives. The part I am probably most excited for in newspaper is photography and interviewing.
