Brownsburg has recently added a new breakfast spot on East Main Street. Toast and Thyme Café is a family-run business. It is open Tuesday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
It has a variety of breakfast and brunch food options on their menu. Some examples are specialty omelets, toasts, pancakes and breakfast sandwiches. They also have specialty drinks. The drinks are house-made, and people can choose if they want syrups in their drinks. The main goal for the cafe is for the drinks and food to be fresh.
“It wasn’t just a breakfast place,” junior Cole Weesner said. “It was an experience.”
Toast and Thyme also has indoor and outdoor seating areas that are dog friendly.
Toast and Thyme’s atmosphere is aesthetically pleasing for most people because of the colors and pictures.
“It was definitely very aesthetic in there,” Weesner said.
There are frequent customers that the staff has become close with. The employees want the customers to feel welcomed.
“We’re here to show people that we care and that we show love for everybody,” General Manager Brandon Rodriguez said.
The decision to move the café to Brownsburg had a lot to do with the Brownsburg community.
“She [the owner] graduated [from BHS] so she’s always had an affinity for the community, and they have shown a lot of love and respect, and she wanted to give it back,” Rodriguez said.
