Taste by taste. Bite by bite. In Hendricks County many local restaurants will participate in Flavor Fest, sponsored by Visit Hendricks County, from February 17 to March 17. Flavor Fest restaurants will create a new menu item to sample.
“We have everything from ice-cream to steak,” Director of Marketing Strategy Kyle Johnson said. “I’m gonna go get Danville Dips Candy Bacon Sundae, which sounds incredible. So, there’s a lot of really cool options.”
Here’s a look at some of the incredible menu items.
- At the Avon Mexican Market, you’ll find “Hendricks Loaded Nachos.”
- Then at Best Friends Coffee & Bagels located in Brownsburg, try the “Chicken Caesar Salad Bagel.”
- CJ’s, located in Plainfield, will feature Creamy Garlic Parmesan Pizza.
Visit a participating restaurant and can scan a QR code to be entered for a $50 gift card to a Flavor Fest location.
Last year, there were 37 restaurants that participated in this event. Visit Hendricks County says more have already registered this year. People from 119 zip codes enjoyed Flavor Fest.
Senior Communications Manager for Visit Hendricks County, Josh Duke, shared a story from last year’s Flavor Fest that happened at Rusted Silo, in Lizton. “I had a travel writer physically cry while eating their pumpkin pecan pie because it reminded her of her late grandmother’s pumpkin pecan pie that she never had anywhere else.”
